Why didn’t I get a background alert?
Confirm Driving Alerts are on, Background Driving Alerts are enabled, notifications are allowed, and Location is set to Always. iOS may stop location delivery after a force-quit until the app is opened again.
Why is a mapped camera missing or wrong?
Coverage and metadata come from available public sources and can vary by jurisdiction. Send the state and general location so we can investigate. Do not send plate records or other private information.
What is a Watch Area?
A Watch Area is a saved location plus a radius. It can show current mapped Flock-tagged matches and check for newly indexed cameras when the app refreshes validated data.
Does FlockAware show live video?
No. FlockAwareNJ+ is a location-awareness app. It does not provide live surveillance video, plate records, or access to camera systems.
Where is Alert History stored?
Driving and Watch alert history is stored locally on your iPhone in this release so you can review alerts after the fact.
Can I turn background use off?
Yes. Foreground Driving Alerts and Background Driving Alerts are separate settings. You can keep foreground proximity alerts while disabling background mode.
Reporting a problem? Include your iPhone model, iOS version, FlockAwareNJ+ version, what you expected, what happened, and whether the app was foregrounded, backgrounded, locked, or opened from a notification. Please do not send private plate data, passwords, tokens, or key files.
